Health Continuum Featured in Thrive Magazine!

I am thrilled to announce that Thrive a leading magazine on health, wellness and nutrition, has published my tomato gazpacho soup recipe in their Autumn 2017 issue. Thrive is a wonderful publication, full of great recipes and tips for living a healthier life.

Julie Zimmer

Julie has extensive experience in nursing practice and education in a wide range of fields from intensive/coronary care, to medical-surgical to community and public health. Julie has Bachelor Degrees in Psychology and Nursing, and a Master’s Degree in Community Health Nursing Education. She has taught in faculties of nursing and in various communities in Toronto, Canada and in Geneva, Switzerland, and is a consultant to the International Council of Nurses (ICN). Julie also has years of experience teaching English as a foreign language (EFL) in addition to coordinating an English department in a Swiss private school.

  1. Congratulations on having your recipe published in Thrive. This is really quite an accomplishment when you think of all the number of recipes out there wanting to get published. Only a matter of time before we see JULIES magazine. Well done.

    Love your apple muffin recipe making it this week.

    1. Thanks! When you make the muffins, make sure that you make them with whole wheat pastry flour, which is light beige in colour, soft and slightly speckled with wheat. It shouldn’t be coarse or grainy. It’s used for making wholesome pastries, muffins and breads. It should say that on the package. I found a great brand here in Switzerland.
